Stratford Cresson Partners LLC is a growth-oriented, specialty finance company headquartered in Miami Beach, Florida

Our team is comprised of individuals with lengthy backgrounds in asset management, private investments and funding, and operations and development. This combined experience allows us to identify and capture unique investment opportunities across the specialty finance spectrum.

We seek to generate consistent, absolute returns with little to no correlation to traditional asset classes and with low volatility compared to the stock market. Stratford directly originates, underwrites and manages diversified portfolios of unique assets. We select assets based on their strong value proposition and their alignment with our robust risk mitigation strategies.

Through our acute market awareness and adaptability, we are able to engage in proprietary deals that maximize returns for our investors, while providing necessary funds to innovative businesses. By fostering long-term relationships with our partners, we are able to implement investment strategies that can outperform public markets while preserving capital base.

Joseph Radner

CEO

With a long list of personal injury lawyers in his family, Mr. Radner founded Stratford Capital Partners, a predecessor company, in 2014 to provide needed financing to plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. Since 2014, Mr. Radner has deployed family-office and institutional capital across several different investment strategies, initially focused on litigation finance in Michigan. In that time, Mr. Radner developed the core strategy now being utilized by Stratford Cresson Partners, LLC, a joint venture between Mr. Radner and a prominent family investment office in Connecticut.

Prior to founding Stratford Capital, Mr. Radner received a Doctorate in Talmudic law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College, taught college-level Talmudic courses in New York and Connecticut, and wrote several scholarly books on various Jewish topics, to great acclaim. He has served as a judge in the court system of Jewish Law, and has decided many complex cases involving Jewish law and jurisprudence, and has successfully arbitrated complex disputes within the Jewish court system. Mr. Radner’s experience as an arbitrator and judge in the Jewish court system has enabled him to build rapport with many constituent groups, both on a personal level and on a business level, and has greatly benefited his approach to business in a community where litigation is paramount.

David B. Brainson

Executive Chairman

Mr. Brainson concurrently serves as Chief Investment Officer of Cresson Management LLC, a family investment office based in Stamford, Connecticut, focused primarily on private investment opportunities, and President of the Brainson Group, Inc., an independent business and financial advisory firm he founded in 2004.  Mr. Brainson has been a financial and strategic advisor to companies in a broad range of industries for more than 20 years.  Until its recent sale to a Fortune 50 company, Mr. Brainson served as Chairman, Lead Director, and Corporate Secretary of The Utilities Exchange Ltd (UK), an energy consultancy in the United Kingdom.  He currently serves as chairman of Nevetech Agriculture Ventures Ltd (Israel), as a Board member of Genesis Premium Herbs Ltd (Israel), as a Board member of Exigence Ltd (Israel), a Board Observer and an Advisor to Project Map Ltd (Israel), and as an Investor in, and Advisor to, several companies including Comeet Technologies, Inc. (NY), Arugga AI Farming Ltd (Israel), SoSense Ltd (Israel), EZ Lane, Inc. (Delaware), and Store Power, Inc. (Delaware).  Mr. Brainson is also a Director of Meet to Marry LLC (Delaware), and a former Director of Bivid LLC (Delaware).

Previously, Mr. Brainson served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Sanderling Healthcare LLC, an entrepreneurial healthcare services and facilities development company, as Chief Financial Officer of ConferTech Ltd, a Westminster, Colorado-based provider of conference calling and network services, as CFO of Brix Communications Corp, as Senior Vice President Finance & Capital Markets of IDT Corp (NYSE: IDT), and Vice President of Bear Stearns & Co. Inc.  In addition, Mr. Brainson has been a guest lecturer at Monroe College School of Business & Accounting in New York.

Mr. Brainson graduated from Cornell University in 1992, with a BS in Industrial & Labor Relations, and from the NYU Stern School of Business in 1994 with an MBA in Finance & Accounting.

 

Jared Mendel

COO

Mr. Mendel co-founded and headed Finance and Operations at Biscayne Neurotherapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company which developed novel therapies for difficult-to-treat neurological disorders. In 2018, Biscayne was acquired by Supernus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: SUPN) for $183M. He began his career in finance as an investment analyst at Kawa Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund that also engaged in real estate and private transactions. During his tenure, Mr. Mendel contributed to the fund’s growth from $30 million to +$300 million in assets under management. He received a Bachelor in Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the University of Miami.
